LEONARDO VITORINO, New Head Coach of Phnom Penh Crown FC

A busy day at RSN today with Leonardo Vitorino being installed as the club's new head coach, alongside a brand new management and coaching team. If Leo can bring the success to RSN that he enjoyed in his one season stay at Lanexang United in Laos in 2016, then we are in for an amazing time. Not only did he lead that team to become Laos champions but they also finished as runners-up to Buriram in the Mekong Club Championship, in their only defeat of the whole season.
We all know that Leo was born in Brazil, in Rio (he's 45 next month), but did you know he was a goalkeeper in a playing career with junior clubs in his home country. His coaching career began in Brazil before successful spells in USA, Angola, as Technical Director in Qatar with Al-Gharafa and El Jaish SC, and then two years as Academy Director at Buriram United in Thailand, prior to joining Lanexang in Laos. In Cambodia, Leo took charge of the Cambodian National Team in March last year before returning to Brazil seven months and eight games later, where he was most recently Technical Director at Ceará SC. Now he's arrived at RSN - Welcome Leo.

The new management team at PPCFC was announced at this afternoon's press conference at RSN. From left to right: Sum Vanna (assistant coach), Ly Heang (general manager), Keo Sokngon (team manager), Leonardo Vitorino (head coach) and Luis Fernando Vitorino (goalkeeping coach).
The start of a new era at PPCFC.
